Who We Are

We Are Identifying and Supporting Pinelands Champions

The Pinelands Action Campaign is dedicated to building wide and diverse support among elected officials, candidates, and the public for protecting the New Jersey Pinelands’ unique natural and cultural resources. We support candidates for public office who champion the cause of Pinelands preservation and access to resources for all to use responsibly. We hold elected officials and candidates accountable for their votes and actions that affect the Pinelands.  We mobilize the public to use their advocacy and votes to demand that their representatives protect the Pinelands.

"We support candidates for public office who champion the cause of Pinelands preservation. "

Strategies

In order to have strong leaders on the Pinelands Commission, in the State Legislature and the Governor’s seat, we are working to find and cultivate Pinelands champions and motivate and educate voters to elect these champions into office. To achieve this, we have three key strategies:

  1. Work with voters in the Pinelands counties to identify Pinelands issues that are important to them

  2. Work with voters to find Pinelands champions and work together to vote them into office

  3. Raise funds to help support the campaigns and efforts of elected Pinelands champions or Pinelands champions running for office

The Pinelands Action Campaign is a 501(c)(4) nonprofit organization which is affiliated with and supports, but is separate from, the Pinelands Preservation Alliance, a 501(c)(3) charitable organization dedicated to preserving and enhancing the resources of the New Jersey Pinelands.
